Dear Family,
We had a great zone activity. I am not sure if you have ever looked up Saint Lucia on google and have seen the picture of the two huge steep mountains, but we climbed the skinny steep one today. WOW we had to use ropes to get up it, haha pretty intense! Due to the activity I had to break down and buy shoes. I have spent more money in this short time in Saint Lucia then anywhere else. Stupid thieves.
Well we got our calls for the next transfer and I am staying here with Elder Gibson. I am still the Zone Leader, but they are bringing in another set of Elders. YAY!!! Our zone is going to be stacked with great missionaries. There are two former zone leaders, that I will now be the zone leader over. It kind of makes me nervous. They could easily do a better job then me. President helps me a lot with the missionaries here. This man is amazing. We were given some great news from today. He says due to the increase of missionary applications we are going to be growing as a mission. Our number of Elders and Sisters, not including senior couples, is going from 126 to 178 in just a few months time. It looks like the Lord's work is truly being hastened. ( D&C 88:73) I hope I can personally help hasten the work.
The work is moving forward, even here in Castries. We had 5 investigators at church, two of them have baptism dates for November 24th. With the new Elders here I am feel that will easily double. Pretty sweet stuff happening out here. The Lord is preparing the people for his coming. May we do the same.
Love,
Elder Hartshorn
