Having Fun Too! - 9/26/11

Good Day Everybody!

We had two baptisms this week so it was really busy! which is good! I had
some pictures picked out to send you, but my camera is dead. haha so Hope
for next week. Nazeema could not get baptized this week because she didnt
have her marrage papers yet, but that did not stop her daughters from being
baptized. It was great! feels soooo gooood it gives me life to see someone
that you found and taught enter into the straight and narrow path to eternal
life. Nazeema wants to be baptized soo bad too. she is going to get married
again this Wednesday, and she asked us to be her two witnesses I am excited
for that and so is she! She has amazing Faith and desire, I look up to her
for all of the sacrifice she is making to be baptized. So she will be next
week before General Conferance, Saturday should be a great day. We have to
travel to the Chapel in Town to watch General Conferance so I dont know if
we will get a whole lot of missionary work done those two days which
STINKS!!! but i am way excited to hear all the talks, also We found some
sweet future Priesthood holders this week, I am really excited about the
work that is starting to take place here. Elder Ward and I are really
starting to do good things. and we are having fun too! well at least I am.
The other day I asked him if he had ever tried black pudding, he said no so
I encouraged him to try some and said it was good. so we both got a little
and began to eat. the whole time he didnt even ask what it was he did good
and ate the whole thing, I think he even liked it. after we had both
finished our snack I decided I better tell him what he just ate. haha His
face turned a differant color, and he started to feel sick. I dont think he
was too happy with me! but it sure was funny. I am not this mean too him all
the time though I swear. Well just to let you all know I am having the time
of my life, and training is pretty hard, but also way fun! I am going to
send a package home in a few weeks which will have everyones
Birthday/Christmas presents in it. If I can figure out how to send one. well
I love you all and I know that this gospel is so true, and I love teaching
it, it is by far the most rewarding work you can do. Even if I am not that
affective of a teacher. I know that is why the Lord sent me to Guyana, so I
can learn how to teach with the humble people.

Three New Baptisms - 9/19/11

Dear Family,

Well, we do most of our finding through door to door, not knocking but
yelling INSIDE! at the gate of the house. and I am Learning a lot about the
people here everything just seems normal now though.

Oh, Please do not send me candy or any thing like that, because we have all
the American type of candy here. If you send a package include things like
Mo tab CDs, A tribute to The Prophet Joseph Smith Cd and other material
things that you think a missionary would like haha

I cannot believe it is already fall there. Time is moving by too fast!!! I
hope I have enough time to acheive all the goals which I have set for my
mission. I will really have to step up my game and work hard!

Well I dont really know what to say, BUT we are having three Baptisms this
week I am way excited about that. three woman though... We need Priesthood
here President Gamiette told us that we have to find three men to baptize
now haha so that is are focus for the rest of the transfer. That is going to
be hard though because most of the men down here are hard to work with and
drink, but we can DO IT!

Hot and Dry - 9/12/11

Dear Family,

WOW!!! I have a new companion. Elder Ward is from Rexburg Idaho. He is a
pretty cool kid he is kind of the opposite of me though. It is hard training
though. Mostly having to be the one who has to make sure everything is done
right, it is a lot of responsibility but it is good for me. I did not think
I would have to teach almost all of the lessons each day by myself. I now
know how Elder Khan felt. haha. He is adjusting pretty well though
considering that it is almost a 100 % differant down here then back home. I
love it though. A LOT. Also the weather has just been really hot and dry
lately.

We have five baptisms coming up next week so that will be good to start him
on the pathway of lots of baptisms. I am so thankful to have a great family
like you I know that you are doing great things back home. Love you,

Some Big News - 9/5/11

Hey Everyone!!!

I have some very interesting news!!! I will be staying in East Coast, But I will be getting a new companion, and when I mean new I mean NEW! I will be training a brand new missionary fresh from the MTC all I know is his last name is Ward. I guess the Lord sees something in me that I dont, because i do not feel ready for this responsibility yet. I know that it will continue to push me to grow though so that is good! Well that is my big news, I will need a lot of prayers this transfer! haha

Well my computer is slow today again today so I wont be able to send pictures this week hopefully next week. It is sooooo crazy how time has been flying by! I sure do miss you all though. All is going well here. Thank you for all the letters and e mails. They sure do help. Tell everyone hi.

Put On our Rubber Boots - 8/29/11

Well hello everyone!

Here are some pictures, of the Ocean clear and blue right? haha also of this house that we found going house to house finding "Thou shall not worship Idols." Also a picture of me getting my level one passede off. [Sorry, the pictures didn't come through]

Everything has been good here. Last week you cursed us because we had a lot of rain and had to stay in for a couple of hours. but when the rain settled down a little we put on our rubber boots grabbed the unbrella and headed out. That is crazy to think that there was a huricane in the states. I seriusly do not here any news. I guess that is ok though. I hope everything is good there. This transfer went by way fast but I guess thats good though. I am excited for a little change, even though I will probably stay right here in East Coast, Guyana. 

This week we had zone conferce. It was good The area 70 came President Vinas. It was good. He talked to us about the Atonement. After studying it for the last couple weeks and hearing him there is one thing that I came to know of that is we can not no way possible have the Holy Ghost with us if we are not in the Proccess of repenting. And with out the Holy Ghost we are nothing, are spirits are dead. So that is my invitation to you all today is to REPENT. I know it will help you grow closer to God.

Anyways I love you all so much! I miss the mountains and the valley but I do Love it here.

Staying Busy - 8/22/11

Hello Everybody,

Well I tried to send some pictures but it would not let me for some reason. Oh well they are not very cool this week. We have been running three time a week in the morning so I had some cool pictures of the sun rising over the Atlantic Ocean. That is about it.

I recieved your letters they were good I had time to write you one this morning so I hope I can get it off today. You will have to tell everyone to write me because the only adress I have is Chads. It sounds like he is doing well. I can not believe school is already starting back up. It seems like I just left. There is only two more weeks left in the transfer... then I am with out Elder Khan! I hope I can do it. I know I can. I hope I stay around Georgetown somewhere. I will probably stay in East Coast. That would be cool!

It sounds like everyone is staying busy! that is good! That is one thing I do not miss at all is changing stupid garbages! haha that is good that the stores are staying busy... or is it just you two staying busy. Oh we found a sweet new investigator who is a seamstress! I took her some of my big pants and she did a good job at making them fit so that was nice. She is cool her name is Nazeema Khan. A big fat lady, with a sweet heart.

We are staying busy, and kind of wore out trying to do all the missionary work here. That is one nice thing is planning is really easy because there are so many people to see. There is just not enough hoursin the day to see everyone. We sure do try though.

Well I answerd some questions in my letter home so you will have to wait and get that haha hope it gets there before too long. Well it is about time for me to get off, I love you all
